Next stop, Vegas Baby!!!  February 18, checked into Aria for 4 nights.  As usual, left Vegas with less money that we arrived with, but as usual, had a great time!! 

While at the campground in Bullhead City, this roadrunner decided he wanted to come around and see what treats he could get from us.  We don't see these birds often so this was a real treat for us!!

Out next stop, one of our favorites, Bullhead City, Arizona where we always make a trip up to Oatman to see the burros.

Also at this stop in Tucson, we decided to check out Old Tucson Studios.  This is an old west movie studio opened in 1939 that has seen the likes of John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Elizabeth Taylor, Steve Martin and many more.   Had to check out the can-can show while we were there :)

Old Tucson Studios is home to a locomotive legend, the Reno. By the time Metro-Goldwyn Mayer purchased the Reno in 1945, she had already starred in two films: Courage of the West and Cecil B. Demille's Union Pacific. Old Tucson Studios purchased the Reno in 1970 and her filmography now totals more than 100 films including How the West Was Won and the 1997 film Wild Wild West. 

Our next stop was in Tucson, we stayed at Gilbert Ray Campground just down the road from the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum where we visited the Raptor Free Flight Show again this year!  It was as awesome as last year!!  The opportunity for up close photos is amazing!!

On our way back to camp from seeing the cranes, we had to stop in Tombstone and visit Boothill Cemetery.  Bit of old west history for Bruce!

While camped at Kartchner Caverns, we took a drive south to Whitewater Draw Wildlife Refuge.  This is the primary wintering area for thousands of Sandhill Cranes in Arizona!  It was a pretty amazing sight!

Picture of the camper at our next stop we were lucky enough to get into Kartchner Caverns State Park, about an hour east of Tucson.  There are two different cavern tours here, however, you are not allowed to take any pictures in the caves!  In fact, while entering the caves, you even walk thru misters to help keep the humidity stable in the caves!  So, no pics, but here's a link:   https://azstateparks.com/kartchner/cave-tours/cave-information

Our next stop was in Deming, NM.  We couldn't get into City of Rocks State Park, but we did take a drive thru it.  This is also the drive we spotted the Pronghorn Antelope.  Really neat state park amongst these huge boulders.  We will try to plan ahead the next time and make reservations!

After leaving Biloxi area, where we spent Christmas, we ended up spending 9 nights at casino campground in Kinder, Louisiana being sick!  Once we started feeling better, we beat feet across Texas and stopped at one of our favorite places, Las Cruces, NM.  We visited the old town square in Mesilla every time we come thru here.  This year, finally feeling better, we drove up to Organ Mountain National Rec Area and did a little walking and picture taking.  It felt good to get outside!

Time to catch up on our posts and blog, finally!  After leaving Michigan, we headed south.  Made a quick stop where I lived for several years, Union City, Tn.  From there we headed into Mississippi, made stops heading south at three Army Corp of Engineer camps.  Picture of our camper at the last one on Okatibbee Lake near Meridian.  Beautiful and peaceful place.
